Grime Queen - Lady Ny
Nyomi who goes by the performer name Lady NY and who was born and raised in Kentish Town North London, has made quite a profound impression and by all accounts is close to translating this success into the mainstream.
Her mum's influence is not only paternal; she like Nyomi is passionate about her music and has assumed the role as her co-manager. It is also no coincidence that a lot of Nyomi's musical influences derive from her mum's affinity for roots and reggae music.

North London Solo Grime/Rapper - Chipmunk
Essex Girl- Pixie Lott
Victoria Lott was born January 12, 1991 in England. She earned the nickname "Pixie" at an early age from her mother. She was a "tiny, cute baby" that looked like a fairy. The daughter of a stockbroker and housewife, Pixie began taking dance lessons at the age of five. At the age of 11 Pixie Lott received a scholarship to attend London's renowned Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. There she appeared in a wide range of stage productions including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. At 13 she recorded vocals for Pink Floyd's Roger Waters' opera Ca Ira.
When she was 14 Pixie Lott answered an ad that simply stated, "Looking for next hot diva." Although the ad asked for someone between the ages of 16 and 25, Lott lied about her age and auditioned anyway. David Sonenberg, who placed the ad, became Pixie Lott's manager and put her in touch with songwriters in both the US and the UK.
Eventually, American label executive L.A. Reid heard a demo of Lott's. He flew to England and heard her sing live for him at his hotel. As a result, Reid took her under his wing. Finally, a bidding war resulted in Pixie Lott's signing by Mercury Records in the UK and Interscope in the US.

East London - Tinchy Stryder
Stryder started at the age of 14 on pirate radio sets in East London with other well known grime MCs such as Wiley and Dizzee Rascal. His stage name derives from the video game Strider which he played when he was young and from the nickname “Tinchy” given to him due to his short stature: his height at 5’1” (1.55m) making him the shortest male artist ever to top the UK Top 40.
